The Workout Every Busy Mom Needs
Hello friends!!
Happy Tuesday!!
If you have been reading my blog, or following me on social media for the the last 3 years ya'll know how passionate I am about health and fitness. I love getting a good sweat on, keeping my anxiety low and knowing that I'm setting a positive role model for my children.
Today I wanted to talk a bit about WHY you should be doing high interval intensity training, AND lifting as a busy mother. I talked a bit about it over on my FB page, feel free to head on over there or keep on reading! (or both is cool too!;) )
Real quick lets just touch base of WHAT HIIT is and why it is so effective.
1. HIIT is short for High Interval Intensity Training, it is spikes of fast movements with slower movements to get your heart-rate up and pumping as this provides you with the most caloric burn not only during workouts, but for the rest of the day---so your muscles just keep burning all day long!
2. You can do less QUALITY workouts over more 'I just need to workout every day' workouts. Don't get me wrong, I do not mind working out daily but if I can do 4 QUALITY workouts a week and then add in some running and yoga on those other 3 days I am a happy little peach.
3. Lastly with these type of workouts you continue to engage and build muscle, so your muscle is not going anywhere, but you know what is?! the stuff you don't want around!
With that I"ll leave you with a quick HIIT circut you can do at home, no gym needed!
Do each move for 45 seconds and repeat the round 3times
1. Squat with overhead press (You can use weights or none at all, or lift up your babe!)
2. pushups; you can go on you knees no worries start where you are AT!
3. High Knees--if you can't 'run' its okay to step it out!
Let me know how that went for you OK?!
Cheering for youuuu!
